And for those who love a town steeped in history, we have one that’s just perfect for you: Saint-Martin-de-Ré. Historical capital and heart of the island, this charming coastal village is still surrounded by its protective ramparts. Come and discover the innumerable treasures that form part of the heritage of the Île de Ré: the Hôtel de Clerjotte or the half-timbered house known as La Vinatrie.

Then head off to explore Ars-en-Ré, listed as one of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”, the ideal spot for those who appreciate tranquillity, nature and a harbour aged by time.
